The Conseil national de l’Ordre des experts-comptables is the French entity composed of 56 members, including 16 presidents of Regional Councils and 2 departmental committees, that represents the French experts-comptables. Created in 1945, the Ordre is responsible for representing, promoting, defending, and developing the accounting profession both domestically and internationally. It also ensures ethical compliance, sets professional standards, and issues recommendations that chartered accountants are required to follow, and supports businesses and individuals with accounting needs and offers resources such as publications, training, and a documentation centre.

The Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes (CNCC) is the representative body for statutory auditors in France, serving over 11,200 professionals nationwide. The CNCC’s mission is to represent the profession, serve professionals, and monitor and regulate the profession. The CNCC offers a range of resources including technical documentation, training, and assistance for professionals. Its role is to ensure the representation, promotion, defense, and development of the chartered accountancy profession, both in France and abroad.
